Bus and truck collide in Empangeni

Two people were injured when a bus and light delivery vehicle collided early this morning (Thursday).

The head-on collision occurred at about 6am at the R102/Main Road intersection.

All emergency services attended the scene and worked frantically to extricate an occupant who was entrapped in the truck.

One person sustained moderate injuries while another was seriously but not critically injured.

The accident caused traffic to back up on both routes, causing rush-hour delays.
