Rush hour collision in Richards Bay

Several people sustained minor to moderate injuries in an accident between a bakkie and a minibus taxi earlier this morning (Wednesday).

The collision occurred at about 7am on Bullion Boulevard extension in the vicinity of the bridge over the John Ross highway, towards the Port of Richards Bay.

Traffic was backed up as the left lane towards the port had to be shared with the right hand lane, owing to the obstruction.

All emergency services were on scene to direct traffic and tend to the injured.
