Lose the booze this ‘Ocsober’

“Everyone who drinks alcohol should try this challenge,” says Sanca

Go ‘dry’ for the month of October and donate the money you would have spent on alcohol, to charity.

This as the SA National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (Sanca) holds an ‘Ocsober Dry Challenge’ to raise awareness about alcohol misuse.

Sanca Zululand is joining the campaign, and urges locals to participate.

“Everyone who drinks alcohol should try this challenge,” said Sanca.

“Alcohol is a drug. It’s a legal drug, but it’s also an addictive drug that can creep up on one over the years.

“Most social drinkers will become dependent over the years.”

So take up the challenge and invite your friends and family to do so too.

Donate your October alcohol budget to Sanca Zululand or another charity of your choice.
