WATCH: City conducts major Richards Bay CBD clean-up

Municipal teams were out in full force on Tuesday

The uMhlathuze Municipality is conducting a major clean-up of the Richards Bay CBD.

Municipal teams were out in full force on Tuesday morning, clearing rubble and picking up litter as part of the operation focusing on Bullion Boulevard.

Deputy Mayor and Ward 2 Councillor Christo Botha said a request has also been made to have an unsafe building in the CBD condemned.

“I have requested the legal department to issue an urgent letter to have the building condemned and everyone in this building must be evacuated,” said Botha.
