Life plus 30 for Kosi lodge owner’s murder

Patrick Pedlar, a lodge owner in Kosi Bay, was shot while he was out sourcing wood for his business

The man arrested for a 2020 botched hijacking in which his victim was murdered, was on Tuesday sentenced to life behind bars.

After being found guilty on all charges on Monday, Njabulo Gumede on Tuesday received a life sentence for murder, plus 15 years for hijacking and a further 15 for causing the death of his accomplice.
