WATCH: Delinquent truck driver caught in dangerous act

An angry ZO reader submitted a dashcam video of a tipper truck driver putting his life, and those of other motorists, at risk.

A regular traveller on the N2 between Richards Bay and Piet Retief, he was passing the Phinda area at around 6.40am on Tuesday when he came across the selfish and reckless driver disregarding all rules of the road.

Not content with regularly straddling the centre line for hundreds of metres, even on blind rises, he overtakes across double lines in the face of incoming traffic that has to swerve into their emergency lane to avoid contact.

The vehicle’s registration is clearly visible and one trusts that the company involved, and the traffic authorities, will investigate the incident and take appropriate action.
