Strong winds has damaged the roof of Nawezifunze Disabled Association in KwaMbonambi
Persistent inclement weather accompanied by strong winds has damaged the roof of Nawezifunze Disabled Association in KwaMbonambi.
The association’s chairperson, Bongani Gonya said he was awoken to the news on Wednesday morning and, upon arrival at the premises, was devastated at what he saw.
“There was a strong wind on Wednesday morning around 2am. Five project rooms where we had our internet café, beadwork, educational, domestic and industrial sewing rooms were damaged.”
He said the hall was also damaged.
“We urge anyone who can help repair the damage so we can provide a safe place for people with disabilities and students from KwaMbonambi, KwaSokhulu, KwaMthethwa, KwaDube in eSikhaleni, and Mandlazini,” said Gonya.
