WATCH: Good news for beach-goers as Alkantstrand reopens

Weeks of dredging and rehabilitation of Alkantstrand have paid off with the beach now back in business this (Friday) morning – just in time for the Christmas weekend.

Many beach-goers are already making the most of the sun, sea and sand on this hot summer’s day.

Heavy machinery has been on-site at the beach in the past couple of weeks grading the dredged sand north of Alkantstrand in Richards Bay.
