WATCH: Gas tanker veers off N2 near Mtubatuba

Owing to increased volume of traffic during the holiday season, recovery is set to take place on Tuesday

A truck travelling southbound on the N2 near KwaMsane, Mtubatuba on Thursday veered off the road, crashing through guard rails and rolling down an embankment.

Reports from the scene indicate the gas tanker suffered a brake malfunction and side-swiped another truck travelling in the opposite direction.

It is reported that, owing to increased volumes of traffic on the N2 during the holiday season, the recovery of the truck will be done only on Tuesday.

No fatalities were reported from the scene.
