Burst pipe causes water supply interruptions
Several wards have been affected by the water outage
A burst pipe at the kwaBhoboza Reservoir near Mtubatuba has caused unplanned water supply interruptions in several wards.
uMkhanyakude District municipal manager WM Nxumalo said wards 6, 7 and 8 under Mtubatuba Municipality are affected.

Ward 7 Councillor Thembisile Ntuli urged residents to use water sparingly and to conserve it until the district municipality has addressed the matter.
Nxumalo said the water supply interruptions were caused by a burst secondary bulk pipeline from Mtubatuba Heights Reservoir (Bhoboza) to KwaMsane Reservoirs.
“Preparations for repairs have begun. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. For information, contact 035 5738600,” said Nxumalo.
