Help Richards Bay SPCA get back on the road
While donations have started creeping in, they still have a way to go to
It’s a sad reality that NPOs run on the smell of an oil rag, relying on sponsorship and donations from members of the public to stay afloat.
It’s also a sad reality that, given the vast number of NPOs needing support so they can in turn assist the community’s most vulnerable, be it people or animals, there is only a finite number of people these organisations can call on for help.
Having said that, Richards Bay SPCA is calling on its loyal supporters to assist with donations towards a new vehicle for their inspectors.
While donations have started creeping in, they still have a way to go to reach the R529 000 quoted for a new bakkie with all the trimmings their work requires.
Hatfield Isuzu Richards Bay’s Steven Whittaker has offered this at-cost quote to assist the cash-strapped organisation as much as possible.
Letters requesting sponsorship of a vehicle have also gone out, in an attempt to gain assistance from all quarters.
Any company willing and able to sponsor a vehicle will in turn be issued with a Section 18A Tax Exemption Certificate and the vehicle will be branded with their company logo.
Given the SPCA’s vast coverage area, from Richards Bay to the Mozambique border, said company’s logo will be seen far and wide.
With all the NPO’s social media updates and posts, the sponsoring company logo will also gain traction digitally.
In donating towards or sponsoring a new, or good condition second-hand vehicle, the SPCA’s inspectors can get back on the road.
