Drown victim’s body recovered
The man had been reported missing shortly after 5pm on Saturday
POLICE divers from three separate units recovered the body of a 30-year-old male drown victim at around 7am during a search this (Sunday) morning.
The man had been reported missing shortly after 5pm on Saturday after he reportedly disappeared under the water while attempting to swim from the Bay Hall area to Pelican Island.

NSRI crew members had also joined the search for the missing man, who has not yet been identified.
This brings to four the number of drownings at the Bay Hall this summer, although none occurred during the peak season when additional lifeguards were stationed at the beaches.
