Best of Zululand Readers’ Choice Awards nominations

The prestigious awards are designed to celebrate the best of the best

It’s time to vote for this year’s nominations in the annual Best of Zululand Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Best of Zululand Readers’ Choice Awards was founded by the Zululand Observer 15 years ago to give the public an opportunity to say which local businesses offer the best service and products.

The awards have grown beyond everybody’s wildest expectations. Today, these awards take many months of planning.

The prestigious awards are designed to celebrate the best of the best, recognising service excellence while informing readers where to find the very best companies and brand names in the region.

Nominated by the Zululand Observer readers, the voting process – which started with 89 categories in 2009 – has grown to 136 categories in 2024.

Many years ago, voters ticked boxes on the relevant newspaper page, which was handed in at the Zululand Observer’s office.

Now, readers have more options, from casting their votes on the newspapers to the website, making it efficient and accessible.

The Zululand Observer has also implemented a fair procedure to tally votes for nominated companies, with these votes verified by a private company – an independent auditor.

The voting process gives the public a voice while validating the companies and brands that have earned their spotlight, standing apart from their competitors by winning the hearts of loyal clients.

Deserving companies need all the votes they can get from our readers, so we urge you to vote for your best.

Voting officially opens as of 25 January and closes on 16 February.

May the best of the best win!
