Police operation leads to arrests in eSikhaleni

A police operation in eSikhaleni was fruitful, with arrests made, and illegal and stolen items recovered.

From 5.45pm on Tuesday to 6am on Wednesday, police opened 10 cases.

These included armed robbery, illegally dealing in liquor, malicious damage to property, attempted murder and burglary.

Fourteen people were arrested and charged, with five nabbed for dealing in illegal drugs, two for armed robbery, while one person was arrested for illegally dealing in liquor.

One person was arrested for being in possession of a stolen car, while another was arrested for common assault, one for house robbery, and another one for gender-based violence.

During the operation, police recovered 25 small bags of dagga, a stolen Toyota Etios, as well as crates and cans of beer.
