Sunday thunderstorm warning for KZN

ZULULANDERS should brace for more thunder, lightning, rain and damaging winds tomorrow (Sunday).

This after the SA Weather Service issued a level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms for the whole of KwaZulu-Natal.

The warning is in place from midnight tonight (Saturday) to midnight tomorrow.

According to the SAWS, thunderstorms could be accompanied by excessive rain and damaging winds, excessive lightning, and hail in places.

Significant amounts of rain, in excess of 40mm, could be experienced in places.

Potential impacts include flooding of roads, settlements and low-lying areas; fallen trees; damage to structures, and traffic disruptions.
