Jozini police launch investigation into disappearance of man last seen on 5 September

POLICE in Jozini are appealing to the public for assistance in locating missing person, Nhlonipho Mpilentsha Mnotho Fakude of Mkhuze.

Fakude has not been seen since 5 September. According to his sister, Nontobeko Myeni, Fakude was expected to go to the Department of Labour offices in Jozini on the day he disappeared.

“I left him in the morning when I went to work, but when I returned home he was nowhere to be found. I have tried to phone several times, but his cellphone is off.

“I went to check at his home in Mkhuze but he is not there. We also went to check at his girlfriend’s house, but nobody knows his whereabouts,” said Myeni, who has registered a missing person’s docket at Jozini SAPS.

uMkhanyakude Cluster police spokesperson Captain Justice Hlabisa urged anyone who might have information as to the whereabouts of Fakude to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Z Mafukela on 076 1848943 or Nontobeko Myeni on 073 0440358 / 066 02455551.
