More severe thunderstorms forecast for KZN

Parts of Zululand region to be affected by severe storms as forecast by weather service

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a level one weather warning for severe thunderstorms for KwaZulu-Natal, valid until 10pm tonight (Monday).

According to the weather desk, scattered to isolated showers and thundershowers are expected over the north-western parts of KZN today and tonight.

Possible strong winds, heavy downpours, hail and excessive lighting are expected over the affected area, said the SAWS.

Affected areas in the Zululand region include Nkandla, Nongoma and Ulundi.
