Potential impacts include:
•     Damage to infrastructure, settlements, vehicles and livestock

•     Injuries to life owing to lightning

•     Possible disruption to municipal and other essential services

•     Flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges

Drivers are urged to take extreme caution when travelling and, where possible, are advised to avoid bridges in low-lying areas.

As a precaution, place outdoor activities on hold and stay indoors as the potential excessive lightning, hail and flooding could result in injury or even death, warns the weather service.
