Reggae fun for serious cause

Mtunzini residents hold fun reggae fundraiser for worthy community cause

MUCH fun was had at the reggae night fundraiser at Mtunzini’s uMlalazi Ski Boat Club on Friday, with about 100 partygoers turning out in support.

The festive evening was held to support the Mtunzini SAPS Victims Empowerment Unit and raise funds for victims of GBV.

Held to commemorate the 16 Days of Activism against GBV (25 November to 10 December), the event encouraged donations for shopping vouchers and essential care packs for GBV victims.

Jahworkx entertained the audience with their album tour launch. “It was a hugely successful event that will make a difference in many people’s lives,” said Karin Botha, co-organiser of the event.

“People were generous with donations, even those who weren’t able to attend.”
