EFF matter again rolled over at Richards Bay court
Bail application for five EFF members charged with malicious damage to property set for Wednesday in Richards Bay
Back in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday) on charges of public violence, malicious damage to property and assault, five members of the EFF appeared briefly before the matter was once again rolled over.
Accused Mongezi Twala, Sabela Khubisa, Simphiwe Ndlela, Simo Gumede and Vusimuzi Cele, who all handed themselves over to the police on Monday morning and were charged with malicious damage to City of uMhlathuze property in excess of R300 000, will remain in custody.

The prosecution, defence and presiding magistrate agreed for the matter to be carried over to Wednesday for their bail application and a presiding magistrate from another district to oversee the proceedings, as one of the accused is an officer of the law and known to the magistrate.
