WATCH: Cash-in-transit heist closes N2 near Mtubatuba

An investigation is under way following a double cash-in-transit heist on the N2 near Mtubatuba this (Thursday) morning.

It is reported that multiple gunshots were fired when two CIT vehicles were forcibly stopped and one of the vehicles bombed on the N2 in the Shikishela area.

Emergency services are currently on scene and the N2 is temporarily closed to traffic.

KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service who responded to the scene said paramedics treated a patient who had sustained minor injuries.
