Eskom implements stage 2 load-shedding overnight

ZULULANDERS should make contingency plans to prepare for rolling blackouts tonight (Wednesday).

This as Eskom announced earlier this evening that it had implemented stage 2 load-shedding until 5am tomorrow.

“While we have made notable progress in our generation recovery efforts, Eskom faced the loss of five generation units before the peak period,” said Eskom.

The power utility said it continues to prioritise planned maintenance to strengthen system reliability ahead of the winter months, while ensuring adherence to environmental and licensing conditions.
