WATCH: Bondworthy celebration – Tea on the Terrace 2025

Join Dice in making a difference – one teacup at a time

The greatest tea in Zululand is almost here!

Dice (Do I Care Enough?) invites you to the 11th annual Tea on the Terrace on Saturday, 31 May at 10am at the Umfolozi Hotel Casino Convention Resort’s Jabulani Dome.

Last year’s event hosted 400 guests and raised R100 000.

This year’s Bond Spectacular theme promises even more excitement, with celebrity guest speaker Rob Bentele, winner of Survivor SA: Island of Secrets.

Since outwitting, outplaying and outlasting his 2019 castaways, Rob recently returned from Australian Survivor: Australia vs the World. While he cannot divulge any ‘island secrets’, Rob, epitomises strength and has an overcoming spirit, corresponding with cancer survivors, which this fundraiser supports.

Get ready to step into a morning of glamour and intrigue, whether you arrive as a daring femme fatale or a classic Bond girl.

The event calls on corporates, churches, schools and friends to come together for a great cause.

Dice, the official charity arm of the Zululand Observer, uses funds raised to support cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Beneficiaries include The Butterfly Palliative Home – one of just four children’s hospices in SA – and Thuthukani Special School, which supports children with intellectual disabilities.

Last year’s Tea on the Terrace donation to the Butterfly Palliative Home is funding a room named ‘Gemma’s Nest’ in honour of a brave young girl

As a hostess, you’ll provide themed décor, crockery, and catering, while competing for the Ubuntu Floating Trophy. Expect light-hearted entertainment, networking, and meaningful moments over tea.
