Empangeni Ward 23 public meeting back on track

City of uMhlathuze officials to face Empangeni community over unresolved issues

A follow-up public meeting for Empangeni’s Ward 23 is set to take place on Wednesday, 11 June at 6pm at the Empangeni Civic Centre.

Senior managers and senior political officials from the City of uMhlathuze have confirmed their attendance.

The meeting follows a tense gathering last month, where more than 80 residents voiced frustration over ongoing service delivery failures.

Residents demanded accountability from the mayor and city manager, prompting calls for a second meeting.

Originally set for 4 June, the session was postponed at the request of the city speaker.
