City of uMhlathuze builds pedestrian bridges for local community

uMhlathuze completes building of two new pedestrian bridges for Ntuze community

Having been forced to travel long, often unsafe distances to access schools and essential services, residents of Ward 11 in eNtuze reserve celebrated the completion of two vital pedestrian bridges.

Responding to this long-standing demand from the community, City of uMhlathuze Mayor Xolani Ngwezi said, “The newly-built pedestrian bridges now offer safe, direct routes, saving time and improving access across the area.”

He said these benefit schoolchildren and the elderly, who are among those most affected by poor infrastructure.

Ngwezi extended his gratitude to all stakeholders, city officials, and the construction teams whose co-operation made this achievement possible.

“We are committed to serving our communities with integrity and dedication.

“The City of uMhlathuze remains determined to deliver quality services and infrastructure to all communities, and we are working swiftly to ensure no one is left behind,” said Ngwezi.
