Heartless killer licked bloody death knife, says court witness
Ulundi Regional Court hands down life sentence for convicted killer
Nthethelo Zulu (36) was handed a life sentence plus a further 15 years for robbing and fatally stabbing Siphelele Ndlovu (38) in July 2020.
Ulundi Regional Court heard how Zulu and two friends left a Mboshongweni shebeen on the night of the killing.
Intoxicated, the trio was walking home when they came across the victim listening to music on his cellphone while carrying his personal belongings in a plastic bag.
Zulu informed his friends that he intended to rob the man – a comment to which they did not respond, according to their testimony.
Upon approaching Ndlovu, Zulu tripped him, produced a knife, and stabbed him repeatedly…
