Suspected killer nabbed in eSikhaleni

A man (28) was on Monday arrested by the Vala Mgodi combat team in eSikhaleni, in connection with a murder in eNyoni.

King Cetshwayo Cluster police spokesperson Captain Siyanda Shangase said the man was found in possession of ammunition and a firearm with the serial number filed off.

“This firearm is suspected to be an official State firearm, but the investigation is ongoing to confirm this,” said Shangase.

The man appeared before the eSikhawini Magistrate’s Court on Monday and was remanded in police custody.

He is expected to appear in the eNyoni Magistrate’s Court on murder charges.
