Calling all junior soccer players for Richards Bay footie tournament

All junior soccer players who fall into the U13, U15 and U17 age groups are encouraged to attend a football tournament in Richards Bay this weekend.

Milton Smith of Richards Bay United FC and Sheldon Hughes of Mtuba Football Academy/Riverview Spurs FC are holding the tournament at the uMhlathuze Central Sports Complex in Veldenvlei on Saturday, 11 and Sunday, 12 October.

The tournament will serve as selections for an U17 team to represent the region in the Walter Sisulu Tournament to be held in Soweto during the first week of December.

“This tournament has a large number of scouts in attendance and presents a wonderful platform for our local aspiring football players to showcase their talent,” said Hughes.

Players are requested to present their birth certificates or identity documents.

Tournament winners will receive a soccer jersey, trophy and medals.
