Retired Zululand nurses mark year-end function
Members of the Retired Golden Nurses reflect at year-end celebration
AFTER decades of dedicated public service in the health sector, retired Zululand nurses continue to honour their shared journey together, reflecting on the rewarding and challenging moments of their careers.
The organisation, known as the Retired Golden Nurses (RGN), was founded by pioneering leader and president, Jeanette Vilakazi, to keep former colleagues connected, provide mutual support, and foster unity during times of need.

Speaking at the year-end function at Canefields in Empangeni, RGN deputy president Hleziphi Dladla said the organisation’s activities are guided by its motto, inspired by Psalms 103:1-5.
“This year, we lost one member, which was a great loss to us all. However, we are encouraged by the rapid growth of the organisation. We have welcomed new members with diverse talents, whose extraordinary skills will help elevate the quality of our decisions and initiatives,” said Dladla.

“May we all enjoy a Christmas filled with health and peace, and may the New Year bring continued joy and progress,” she said.
