WATCH: Water tankers deployed to Meerensee amid water outage
Two burst pipes lead to water shortage for Richards Bay suburb, water tankers deployed
TWO burst pipes are the reason behind the water outage affecting Meerensee this morning (Tuesday).
As described by uMhlathuze Deputy Minister Christo Botha, who is also the Ward 2 councillor, one of the burst pipes is at the entrance to the suburb, while the other is near the caravan park.

“The two burst pipes have been exposed and will be fixed, but unfortunately, I can’t give an estimated time as to when water will be restored. I have requested a few water tankers for Meerensee,” said Botha at 10am.
Botha said, while water is being fed to the suburb on another line, parts of Meerensee have very low water pressure while others have none at all. The first burst pipe was located yesterday.
