WATCH: City residents block road over lack of water in Ntuze

The community members blocked the P525 at Esontweni Stop

RESIDENTS of Ntuze under the City of uMhlathuze took their water shortage frustrations to the streets this morning (Wednesday), affecting commuters and school operations in the area.

The community members blocked the P525 at Esontweni Stop, citing five years of a lack of water service delivery by the municipality.

City of uMhlathuze communications manager Simphiwe Mkhanya said they were aware of the water shortages in Ward 11.

“We have dispatched water tankers to address this issue,” said Makhanya.
