Vehicle destroyed in fire near Mtunzini

Three people escape serious injury after car catches fire on the R102 just outside Mtunzini

Three occupants escaped unharmed when the vehicle in which they were travelling caught fire on the R102 just outside Mtunzini on Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of fire remains unknown and will be investigated by the relevant authorities.

Confirming the incident, City of uMhlathuze communications manager Simphiwe Makhanya said the municipal Fire & Rescue department from eSikhaleni responded to the call in question, and said no injuries were reported. Traffic police were also in attendance.
