City of uMhlathuze coalition to share water solutions

City officials to address water supply issues at media briefing to be held in Richards Bay

The issue of service delivery will be discussed at a media briefing at Richards Bay Civic Centre on Friday.

This will be led by City of uMhlathuze Mayor Xolani Ngwezi, alongside leaders of the coalition from the IFP, DA, ACDP and FF+.

On Wednesday last week, dissatisfied community members in Ntuze took their protest against interrupted water supply in their area to the streets by blocking the P525 at Esontweni Stop with burning debris.

Other parts of the city have also experienced similar challenges over the past few weeks.

City communications manager Simphiwe Makhanya said the briefing will provide a detailed update on measures taken to address ongoing water challenges and other service delivery matters.
