Authorities welcome sentencing of eSikhaleni killer

35-year-old man sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for murder, district commissioner welcomes sentencing

The eSikhawini Regional Court has sentenced convicted murderer Sibonelo Phakamani Mchunu (35) to an effective 15 years’ imprisonment for a murder he committed in February last year.

Welcoming this sentence, King Cetshwayo acting district commissioner Brigadier Mandlakayise Mhlongo said the convictions and sentences will send a stern warning to anyone who is thinking of involving themselves with criminal activities.
