Celebrate World Bonsai Day in Richards Bay

WORLD Bonsai Day, observed on the second Saturday of May, will be marked with a Plant and Sip event at 39 Krewelkring in Meerensee on 9 May.

Every year, gatherings are organised at national bonsai collections and in private bonsai gardens, uniting enthusiasts around the world.

The Meerensee event, hosted by the Zululand Bonsai Society, costs R250 and includes a starter tree, pot, soil and stone, as well as a presentation and refreshments.

Registration starts at 9.30am, and the event runs from 10am to midday. There will be free viewing, and starter trees will be on sale.
