Sassa task team responds to backlogs in uMkhanyakude District
The initiative brought together officials from six Sassa local offices across uMkhanyakude District
IN a bid to tackle backlogs in the region, Sassa officially launched its Rapid Response Team at iNkosi Mzondeni Hall in KwaMsane, Mtubatuba over the weekend.
The initiative brought together officials from six Sassa local offices across uMkhanyakude District Municipality to address the backlog of applications identified through the agency’s review project.

As part of the initiative, 200 beneficiaries were identified and invited to participate in the review process, which ensured outstanding cases were attended to and beneficiaries received assistance without unnecessary delays.
The launch forms part of Sassa KZN’s ongoing commitment to responsive, accessible and people-centred service delivery.
