NG KERK Minister Dean Reiners is today (Friday) at a traffic light intersection in Meerense collecting donations to help bring the festive Kersligmark to life.

The Richards Bay dominee is stepping up for a good cause after losing a friendly wager.

After spending the morning rush hour at the main Meerensee intersection outside Pick ‘n Pay, Ps Dean will take up his stand there once again between 12.30 and 1.30pm, and again from 4 to 6pm.

The fundraising initiative aims to support preparations for the annual festive Kersligmark, scheduled for Saturday, 28 November.

Organisers are appealing to residents to show their support by contributing their spare change or giving the friendly dominee an encouraging hoot as they pass.

Every donation will help make the community market a memorable festive occasion.
