One of the great talents in life is the ability to mobilise people and get them volunteering to work together for a greater cause.
This obviously entails ‘leading from the front’, not merely delegating, and in this respect Richards Bay’s CJ Schwan seems to excel.
The 28 year old works in the security industry, which of necessity means he does plenty of driving through the city streets, where one would have to be half blind to not notice the dirt and decay all around.
CJ is far from blind, and he recently mobilised a large team to attack the Dollar Drive area between Alton and the Richards Bay CBD.
The job was done in double quick time, and he has pledged to keep plugging away in this fashion.
Always on call to assist at accident or crime scenes, he offers help and protection to all – whether or not they are his clients.
CJ is also an accomplished DJ, and very often sponsors his sound system and emcee expertise to charities.
We should be proud to have people like him in our community – and he expects nothing back in return, except that we heed his calls for assistance when they arise.
