Italy to host four Ironman events
The new event will link up with the three existing Ironman events

ITALY will now host four Ironman events next year.
This was revealed when Ironman announced the addition of the Ironman 70.3 Venice-Jesolo triathlon, scheduled for 2 May, 2021.
This inaugural event will link up with the three existing Ironman events – Ironman Emilia-Romagna (19 September, 2020 – sold out), Ironman 70.3 Emilia-Romagna (20 September, 2020 – sold out), and Ironman 70.3 Sardegna (25 October, 2020 – registration open).
Jesolo is considered to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy.
To accommodate this, organisers have ensured the race site is easily accessible by car and train.
The site is located 30 minutes from Venice’s Marco Polo International Airport, and 40 minutes from Treviso International Airport.
Competitors will start at the popular Lido di Jesolo and complete a single-loop swim course of 1.9km in the Adriatic Sea, before taking on a single loop 90.1km bike course.
The event will end off with a 21.1km run course, which consists of two loops, crossing the Jesolo promenade – an incredibly scenic coastal route that follows one of Europe’s longest pedestrian roads.
The 2020 Ironman 70.3 Venice-Jesolo triathlon will offer qualifying slots to the 2021 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Utah, USA.
