Diski Boyz fight for the win with late goal

Richards Bay FC U23 beat Golden Arrows 1-0 in their Multichoice Diski Challenge fixture on Saturday

Refusing to settle for a draw, the Richards Bay FC U23 side grabbed the goal that mattered in the death throes of the game as they beat Golden Arrows 1-0 in their Multichoice Diski Challenge fixture on Saturday.

The match, played at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium, was an intense, evenly-matched affair that hung in the balance until the 86th minute, when half-time sub Asimbonge Mdunge fed Ntlonelo ‘The Bomb’ Bomelo, who blasted home to secure the three points.

With 8 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses this season, the Diski Boyz have moved to fifth place on the log, and in the process have seen a number of their youngsters used in the BetWay Premiership side.
