Scorpions sting at kickboxing nationals

Empangeni fighters shine at 2025 SAKA National Championships

Athletes from the Scorpions Kickboxing Club performed with distinction at the 2025 SAKA National Championships hosted recently by KZN in Newcastle.

With over 800 competitors present, representing all nine provinces, this was the largest nationals ever hosted by the South African Kickboxing Association.

The Empangeni fighters did coach Shalen Poorun proud, bringing home a rich harvest of trophies.
Between them Ruhi Lachman, Sempai Rudhra Poorun and Muhammad Yahyaa Dawood garnered nine trophies.

This included five national titles, six first places, two second places and one third place. They also placed in the top four for other events
