Soccer scouts from major KZN teams to spot for talent at Nkandla tournament

Soccer scouts from AmaZulu FC, Golden Arrows, and Richards Bay FC to attend Mayoral Cup in Nkandla

Thousands of sports fanatics are expected to flock to Nkandla as the municipality hosts the prestigious Mayoral Cup this weekend.

Nkandla Mayor Nonhlanhla Nzuza said they are more than ready to host this annual event, and all arrangements are in order.

“We have invited soccer scouts from various teams, playing in an elite league, especially in KZN.

“Soccer scouts from AmaZulu FC, Golden Arrows, and Richards Bay FC have confirmed they will be attending the event. We are presenting this life-changing platform to our local players.

“Our main objective is to help our local players showcase their soccer skills and talent in the presence of soccer scouts,” said Nzuza.

The tournament kicks off at 9am at Nkandla Stadium on Saturday, and will include various sporting codes such as men’s and women’s soccer, netball, chess, and indigenous games.

“We are expecting hundreds of sports fans to attend this tournament,” said the mayor.
