The incident took place at Schoeman Farm on Friday around 2am.
Captain Johannes Ramphora of the Springs police says one of the three robbers pointed a gun at the guard, demanding he tell them about the whereabouts of the other guard who was also on duty.
He says the robbers then tied the guard’s hands and legs and managed to get the second guard who they also tied up and they took both of them to a nearby field.
He says the robbers took one of the trucks belonging to the farm. A case of robbery with firearm has been opened and the police are still looking for the suspects.
