Learners from Langaville High School started their week with some food for thought and a leadership motivation talk.
Innocent Ximba was given an opportunity by the school to address his peers, as part of his leadership tour which has already travelled to Tlakula and Lifa-Ifa High School.
The Innocent Ximba Leadership Programme, was founded by the 19-year-old former Geluksdal Secondary School learner.
He said the programme aims to “discover ordinary young people and turn them into leaders, through mentorship and motivation”.
Innocent is a former president of both the debate team and RCL, and believes leadership is taught.
The message he is spreading during the tour includes increasing the pass rate in all KwaThema schools.
His advice to learners was to put in 120% effort for them to achieve 100%, and he believes RCL members have a vital role to play in helping theie schools achieve the desired pass mark.
“It’s important that we start leadership training while people are still in school, as that helps them to face the world and its challenges when they leave school,” added Innocent.
