The robbers fled the scene with cash and cigarrets

Robbers who robbed a tuck shop owner in Gugulethu/Everest, fled the scene with cigarettes and cash.

According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora, the three suspects pointed a firearm at the tuck shop owner who was alone inside the shop.

The incident that took place around 8pm on Saturday, left the victim frightened after the suspects took cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash and left the scene.

No shots were fired and no-one has been arrested in connection with the robbery.
