A family in Bakerton’s home was robbed by four men on Tuesday around 7pm.
According to the Springs police spokesman, Captain Johannes Ramphora, the son was feeding cats outside the house when the four suspects, armed with knives and other sharp objects, appeared.
He says the robbers asked the boy who was at home with him before dragging him inside the house where they tied him and his mother up.
“The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash and jewellery,” says Ramphora.
No shots were fired and the victims were left unharmed.
A case of house robbery has been opened and anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects should contact the Springs police on 011 365 570/19/20.
