Three suspects were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
Tsakane police spokesman Captain Petros Mabuza says the suspects were arrested last Wednesday at Tsakane Extension 17.
He says they were arrested when the police followed the suspects after receiving information that they were in possession of the firearms.
He says when the suspects saw the police, they tried to escape from the house, but it was too late for them.
The police searched them and recovered two firearms and ammunition.
Two suspects will appear soon at the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court for possession of unlicensed firearms while the other one will appear for possession of live ammunition.
