The Springs police received information regarding a man selling drugs in Park Avenue, Springs central business district.
At 3pm, they arrived and saw a man fitting the description they received.
Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesman for the Springs police, says the police asked to search the plastic black bag in his possession.
They found nyaope in the bag and arrested him for possession of drugs.
Ramphora says the same SAPS members followed another lead to a block of flats in Fourth Street where they arrested the man that opened the door of one of the flats.
When they knocked on the door a man opened it and they searched him.
The policemen also found a plastic bag in his possession containing nyaope.
He was arrested as well and taken to the Springs police cells.
