Spreading winter warmth

The Phakamani MaAfrika Mens Club donated blankets to elderly residents of Langaville Extension Seven last Friday.

Langaville –

Since its establishment in 1987, the club has made donations to various organisations and the community of Tsakane.

Chairman of the club, Joel Vilane (63), believes it is important for the club to give back to the community.

“Since the beginning, we agreed as men and members of the community of Kwatsaduza, that we need to do positive things,” he says.

With winter on its way, the club saw the need to ensure the elderly are warm.

The club’s founder and oldest member, Philemon Moruku (80), was among those who received a blanket.

Every year, the club identifies an organisation in need of assistance, and they help where they can.

Members are planning something extraordinary for next year.
