This comes after a Friday incident that took place at about 10.30pm in Extension 19.
“It is alleged that the complainant (age unknown) asked the suspect to take her friend home from where they had been chilling, as the friend was drunk.
“He agreed, but after dropping off the friend, when the complainant and the accused were left alone in that car heading back to the venue where they were initially from, the suspect then drove with her to his place where he raped her,” says Capt Petros Mabuza.
The complainant then reported the incident to local police and the suspect was arrested the following day.
The suspect will appear soon at the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court for rape.
